You Have Probably Tried Before. Here Is Why It Did Not Work.
Most students who miss their target band have worked hard. They have watched the videos, collected the vocabulary lists and done the practice tests. And the result still comes back half a band, or a whole band, short.
The problem is rarely effort. IELTS marks specific things: how you answer the task, how you organise ideas, the range and accuracy of your grammar and vocabulary, and, in Speaking, your fluency and pronunciation. If nobody checks your work against those criteria, you can practise for months and repeat the same mistakes.
That’s what this course fixes. Mock tests show your band; the feedback shows you how to raise it. Every essay, every Speaking answer and every mock test is marked by your teacher, and every class is built around what your last piece of work showed.
This Course Is Built for Students Who
Need a specific band
Are retaking after a low score
Are starting for the first time
Have tried self-study
Are sitting Academic or General Training
Are short on time
How the 8 Weeks Work
Every week covers all four skills, weighted to what you need. A full timed mock test at the end of every 2 weeks gives you a band for each skill and decides what the next 2 weeks focus on. You also get a Speaking mock interview every week, and every essay you send comes back within 24 hours.
Weeks 1–2: Find your band and build the method
- → The test format, timing and the marking criteria for Writing and Speaking
- → Reading: skimming, scanning and True/False/Not Given
- → Listening: prediction, spelling and note completion
- → Writing: Task 1 overview (charts for Academic, letters for General Training) and Task 2 essay structure
Weeks 3–4: Technique for every question type
- → Task 1 charts, graphs, processes and maps, or General Training letters
- → Task 2 essay types: opinion, discussion, advantages and disadvantages, problem and solution
- → Reading: matching headings, sentence completion and multiple choice
- → Speaking Part 2: planning a two-minute answer from a cue card
Weeks 5–6: Accuracy and range
- → The grammar mistakes that cap your band, and the structures that lift it
- → Topic vocabulary and collocations for the subjects IELTS uses most
- → Speaking Part 3: extending and supporting your opinions
- → Listening Sections 3–4 and Reading Passage 3 under time pressure
Weeks 7–8: Exam conditions
- → Timed practice in the skill furthest from your target
- → Your recurring errors, corrected one last time
- → Test-day timing, answer transfer and Speaking-room nerves
- → An honest answer on whether you’re ready to book
This is the usual plan; after your free demo we adjust it to your level, your test type and your test date.
What the Course Covers in Each Skill
Each skill is marked differently, so each is taught differently. Here is what we work on together.
Writing
Task 1 and Task 2 structures, planning under time pressure, the vocabulary and grammar range the criteria reward, and the mistakes that lower bands, all corrected on your own essays.
Speaking
Parts 1, 2 and 3: extending answers naturally, fluency, pronunciation and a full mock interview every week, with correction in the moment.
Reading
Skimming and scanning, True/False/Not Given, matching headings, and time management across all three passages.
Listening
Prediction, different accents, note and form completion, spelling, and keeping your focus across all four sections.
How Your Band Is Measured and Raised
Mock tests show your band; the feedback shows you how to raise it. You get both, every week.
4 full timed mock tests
Single-skill mock tests
A Speaking mock every week
Every essay back in 24 hours
Marked against the official criteria
Live, not pre-recorded
